Strictly necessary

These make the shop work at all. They carry no advertising and are not shared with anyone.

• Sign-in session — set when you sign in with the code we email you, so that the site knows it is you and can show your own details and order history. Expires after 30 days, or immediately when you sign out.
• Sign-in code check — a short-lived value used only while you are entering your sign-in code. Expires after 10 minutes.
• Your online cart — the wines you have added are kept in your browser’s own local storage so your cart survives a reload. It never leaves your device until you place an order.
• Small conveniences — for example remembering that you dismissed a notice, or which tab you last opened on your account page.

Analytics

We use Google Analytics to understand, in aggregate, which pages and wines people look at, so we can improve the shop. It records visits, pages viewed and orders placed. We do not use it to identify you personally, and we do not use advertising or retargeting cookies anywhere on this shop.

Payment

Card payments are taken by PayFast on their own secure pages. Any cookies set during payment are theirs, governed by their privacy policy — we never see or store your card details.

Managing cookies

You can delete or block cookies in your browser settings at any time. Please note that blocking the strictly necessary ones above will stop you signing in or keeping items in your cart.
